Keys to Success

My long awaited promise to narrow down the keys to success. These can be applied in any order or to any endeavor you would like. It is a three step process. First, you must offer a product or service to the public or someone. Say for example a cleaning service. Second, you must gather information about what that client or customer may need. As with the cleaning service; who needs it, what do they need, how much do they want to pay and so forth. Thirdly, you fulfill their request, in this case clean their garage, their car, or house. That is the end of the story and all you do. The result is you will be on the road to success. No magic, no mumbo jumbo, no tall tales. Provide the service or product, gather the information, fulfill the customers request. That's it ! Enjoy your success and reap the rewards. You deserve it !

Good stress control

I think I have found the cure for it. Stress, that is. If any of you are fellow bloggers you will relate to this. Find a creative outlet, any kind is fine. Whether it is writing, art, music, volunteer work, crafts anything that gets the adrenaline going (e.g. something you love doing and requires some input). Actually, the more of that you do the better, so do not stop at one thing. Tackle 2 or 3 or 4 and see if your life (i.e. stress) gets any better. I recently found out that when I was at my rope's end, I joined two committees (one was volunteer) and created 1 website and am writing for another, then also created 2 blogs. So, I couldn't be happier it is a relief from everything that I ordinarily have to do. Next blog message will be about a guaranteed route to success.

A Genuine Original

Upon pondering what is truly the secret to success it has occurred to me that one of the best steps you can take is to be genuine. That means no guises or pretenses when trying to accomplish your goal. Of course, it helps if you have a pleasant personality because that will surely take you further. No one wants to deal with someone unpleasant. Even in this day of lightning fast super information highway speed. If you are genuine you are the true article and people will be attracted to that and notice it which translates into more success. On the contrary, if you are rude and intolerable people will also notice that and avoid you.

The team concept has finally arrived

Team vs. Me

In my recent meanderings I have run across some groups and associations that are using their networking skills to the utmost by adding members to their "team". While in theory this does work, in the workplace it is usually ruined by "unsportsmanlike" conduct from other team players. i.e. the Brass Ring is mine, mine, mine. The sooner we rid ourselves of this mentality (it is really old school) the more successful our future will be because we have the support and effort of the other team players. Makes sense doesn't it. This is a concept formerly called "family" that also worked well for many generations.

Living Out Loud

Just another day of Basic Doubt and using Basicology. Incidentally in regards to yesterday's topic, today I put creativity to work and actually got on the bandwagon of joining a creative volunteer endeavor. You know it is contagious, once you use your creativity it just keeps on growing. I am going for it in a big way ! Try it. Back to living out loud a/k/a not suffering the consequences or don't sweat the small stuff. I know people who totally live off the cuff. They just put one foot forward and are very active and never think where it leads them. As long as they are DOING something. What's the upside to this? Well you are so darned tired at night you just pass out and are too tired to think about anything. So what's the verdict? Live large.

Be Artistic - in your own light

The essence of being creative is that you are true to yourself. It does not matter if your ideas please the main stream but that they communicate what is relevant to you. Some people who come to mind when defining creative are; Harrison Ford, Barbra Streisand,Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and Sheryl Crow. Their uniqueness is what has made them famous and why they are a household word. They reach across many borders and appeal almost universally since they are creative in a way that is beyond the norm. So you can see just a little bit of creativity can take you a long way. You do not have to be famous to use creativity to your advantage. Just tailor it to what you are trying to achieve in your life, and use it as a tool.

Confidence - How elusive is it?

If you could have one trait that would translate to success in all areas of life that would be confidence. Of course, you have to have know-how, knowledge, education and work hard but all of that is a moot point without confidence. Confidence gives you the fortitude to get up and start your day. It helps you to look at the positives and disregard negatives. What will negatives do for you anyways? To have the confidence to do what you want is the greatest gift.It is something that you must appreciate to build upon. Winning or losing does not really matter when you have confidence, because you know you will always get another chance to try.
